I'm so excited!
I've registered with The Open University to take the Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going to take Creative Writing [level 2] to begin with then one of these courses from [level 3]:
Advanced creative writing
Shakespeare: text and performance
The nineteenth-century novel
Twentieth-century literature: texts and debates
It has made me consider whether I could go on to take a BA Honours Degree in either English Language and Literature or just Literature. Not sure yet.
So come September it will be back to school for me and I can't wait!

Thanks! The Open University site is really interesting. It even has a bunch of free courses on almost any topic.
Just finished a Creative Writing course at my local technical school. Sitting in class and doing assignments after many many years was fun. The young students looked at me as the old guy who was taking the course way too seriously.
Enjoy your course, jim
Thanks, Jim. I just feel after writing and getting published this past few years I would like a different sort of challenge. I feel there is always some new to learn when it comes to writing.
Do you have anything like The Open University in the States?
