I was surprised to find another lovely review for my romantic suspense novel, Return to Winter, online yesterday. It was first published in 2007 and has been in print ever since. The review is extracted from The Bookwenches website.
Return to Winter gives the reader suspense in big doses and keeps them guessing until the very end. I found myself reading as quickly as I could to get to the end and find out what happens. This story utilizes interesting characters, themes, and places to pull the reader in and not let go.
I felt as if I was on the same emotional roller coaster ride as Stephanie; I was never sure what to expect around the next corner. Her emotions seep off the pages and wrap themselves around the reader quite potently. I found Stephanie memorable in many ways: from the pain of being torn from the man she loves to the trust that turned to dust when she was back with him again.
The secondary characters are almost as interesting as the main. They add a wonderful dimension and will put a smile on the readers face. I always enjoy fun characters, and this story does not disappoint.I can't wait to read something else by Ms. Rees. She will be an author to keep an eye on!
